In Canada, an estimated 100,000 individuals across all ages live with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Despite this, much of the public—including many professionals in medical, educational, and vocational fields—remains unaware of how autism affects individuals and how best to support them. Autism is a spectrum, and no two people with autism are the same, not even identical twins. As the saying goes, if you’ve met one person with autism, you’ve met one person with autism.
